Entry Level Positions

Mental Health Aides

Experience working with adults with active mental health issues. Relief work. Assist consumers in residence with ADL’s and skill building; write ISP’s, billable notes; monitor medication compliance. Available shifts: 7am-3pm; 3-11pm; 11pm-7am. Valid NYS driver’s license and obtain CDL.
Rate: $8.17/hr


Other Positions

Administrative Assistant/MIS Specialist

Provide clerical and administrative support to program director; trouble shoot, repair and/or schedule repair of computer hardware; order and maintain inventory of computer hardware and software; train staff to new uses/changes in agency computer system. BA/BS; strong knowledge of office procedures; some knowledge of computer networks and troubleshooting experience; facility with word, excel, access software applications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. FT. NYS Driver’s license.
Salary: Mid-high twenties


Program Specialist/Quality Assurance Officer

Support operations in mental health and developmental disabilities by reviewing incidents, investigating incidents, notifying appropriate regulatory bodies; training staff to changes in regulations; audit consumer charts for completeness and quality; train staff to expectations; create procedures to ensure compliance; BA in human services or related field; six months of experience working with the population. Hands-on attitude; good communication and interpersonal skills, detail oriented, person-centered and outcome focused. FT. Valid NYS driver’s license.
Salary: Mid to high twenties


Case Manager/Mental Health

Manage caseload of 25-30 adults with mental disorders. Coordinate services, advocate, assist with ADL’s, monitor medication compliance, arrange for/transport to medical appointments, connect to entitlements.
Facilitate day program/school, work, recreation/leisure skill development; assist with apartment searches and set-ups. Monthly face-to-face contacts in various community settings; maintain audit-ready charts and deliver Person-Centered services. BA in social work or human services and one-year experience with population; some knowledge of MICA population helpful. Must have even temperament, value cultural differences and collaborative efforts. Must have car and valid NYS driver’s license. Full time.
Salary: low-mid twenties

Senior Residence Counselor

provide leadership to staff of 3-6 persons; manage day-to-day operations of a licensed group home for adults with mental disorders. Engage and develop rapport with residents. Supervise physical plant conditions, schedule staff; maintain charts in audit-ready state, develop menus and social activities calendars, develop and review individual service plans, generate weekly reports, generate billable notes, review incidents, generate UR reports. BA in social work or human services, one year experience with population and one year of program operation/supervisory experience. Must have an even temperament, value cultural differences and collaborative efforts.Must have car and valid NYS driver's license and obtain a CDL

Herman Badillo Safe Haven Project: Teachers

Certified Elementary Ed. Teachers working with students in math and English, grades 5-8, in after-school program. Must like working with children of diverse backgrounds and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Rate: $15.00/hr


Summer Program Employment

Positions available for 7 week [July 5 – August 25] summer day camp at Masten Playground: Sr. Counselor, Camp Counselor, Program Aid, Computer Instructor, Math & Reading Instructor. Hourly/ FT.
Rates of pay negotiable.
