Buffalo Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Services is a coalition of service providers that encourage the youth of Buffalo to remain pregnancy free during their adolescent years. BAPPS is funded by Buffalo Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Services, and the Erie County Department of Youth Services. Case Management for At-Risk and Parenting Teens.BAPPS offers case management assistance to help at-risk and parenting teens with the challenges they face. Currently our case managers work directly within selected Buffalo Public Schools. However, case management help is now available to any individual in the community from the BAPPS office located at 2495 Main Street, Suite 534. "Baby Think it Over Dolls""Baby Think it Over Dolls" are also available for a weekend loan to any teen. These lifelike infant dolls provide a dramatic first-hand experience for teens wishing to learn more about parenting challenges. BAPPS After School Enrichment ProgramThe BAPPS After-school program is offered for children living in neighborhoods near the Jefferson/Broadway area. It is available to children ages 8 to 15, and features a similar focus as Fun and Learn After School Program. Children enjoy homework assistance, tutoring, and a host of workshops aimed at broadening their neighborhood experiences. An age-appropriate pregnancy-prevention focus is featured for BAPPS participants (e.g. sexual responsibility, decision making, problem solving, coping with peer pressure, building self-esteem, etc.). Contact us at 852-5065 for more information. In addition to the services mentioned above, BAPPS coordinates four pregnancy-prevention programs located across Buffalo and Erie County. First Things First Poster ContestEvery year, BAPPS holds a poster contest for 6th to 12th graders in Buffalo’s schools is a major effort to spread awareness about teen pregnancy prevention.
